Arrelious Benn will vie for a roster spot in training camp this summer with the Jaguars, but unless injuries really take a toll on the Jaguars' receivers, don't expect Benn to become the Fantasy asset he was once hoped to be.
Benn signed a contract with the Jaguars on Wednesday, Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports. Benn was only targeted 10 times in 2016, catching five passes for a total of 116 yards and one touchdown. He'll look to secure a role as a depth receiver and special teams player once again in 2017.
Benn (concussion) participated fully in Wednesday's practice session. Benn sat out Saturday's tilt against the Titans due to a concussion he suffered in Week 15 but he appears on pace to return for Jacksonville's season finale against the Colts. He could be the team's No. 3 option at receiver if Allen Hurns (hamstring) and Marquise Lee (hip) are held out.
Benn (concussion) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Titans. Benn faced a challenge in trying to clear the NFL's concussion protocol on a short week. He'll be looking to return for Jacksonville's season finale against the Colts. Shane Wynn and Tony Washington may see some extra snaps with Benn out this week.
Benn (concussion) is listed as active for Sunday's matchup against the Bills. Benn was able to clear the league's concussion protocol earlier in the week, leading to his availability in practice. Without any other injuries bothering the Jaguars' wide receiving corps at this point, Benn will be a bit buried on the depth chart.
Benn has cleared the league's concussion protocol and will practice in limited fashion Wednesday, Ryan O'Halloran of the Florida Times-Union reports. Benn fell victim to a concussion during Sunday's loss to the Lions, but had a quick turnaround as he's already been cleared from the concussion program. He has a good shot at playing in Week 12 against the Bills.
