Seven Steelers who finished the season on the practice squad have been signed by the team to futures contracts. They are running back Alvester Alexander, wide receiver Justin Brown, offensive linemen Bryant Browning and Chris Hubbard, wide receiver Kashif Moore, safety Ross Ventrone and linebacker Kion Wilson.

Among the notables was Rolle, who is the brother of more accomplished NFL players Antrel and Samari, and Golic, whose namesake father starred with the Eagles and is now an ESPN sports talk show host.
