The Bears have claimed tight end Chris Pantale off waivers from the Jets, the team announced on Tuesday. Pantale was waived by New York in the offseason after one season. He appeared in five games, mostly on special teams. He had one kickoff return for 24 yards.
Tight end Chris Pantale has been waived by the Jets, the New York Daily News has reported. He had been signed off their practice squad last December and played in five games, but did not record any receptions. Pantale has yet to catch a pass in two seasons in the NFL.
The Jets have announced a pair of roster moves prior to Monday night's game against the Dolphins. The team released linebacker Antwan Barnes from the active roster and signed tight end Chris Pantale from the practice squad to the active roster. Barnes, 30, registered three total tackles in five games.

The defenders imclude defensive backs Rontez Miles, Jeremy Reeves, Johnny Patrick, Dimitri Patterson and Brandon Dixon, linemen Zach Thompson, Kerry Hyder and Tevita Finau and linebackers Garrett McIntyre and A.J. Edds. Linebacker Antwan Barnes has been placed on the PUP list.
