The Chiefs have announced their final round of cuts and other moves to reach the league-mandated roster of 53 players. Among the offensive players let go are fullback Jordan Campbell, wide receivers Fred Williams and Mark Harrison, guard Ricky Henry, tackle J'Marcus Webb and running back Charcandrick West. The defensive players gone from the roster are safeties Jonathon Amaya and Malcolm Bronson, linemen Dominique Hamilton, Kyle Love and Kona Schwenke, linebackers Alonzo Highsmith, Devan Walker and Nico Johnson and cornerbacks Justin Rogers and DeMarcus Van Dyke . The Chiefs have also placed Tyler Bray and Kyle Williams on IR and Mike Catapano on the non-football injury list.
The Cardinals have announced the release of 13 players. They are safeties Jonathon Amaya and Curtis Taylor, guards Senio Kelemete and Chilo Rachal, wide receivers Mike Thomas, Charles Hawkins and Dan Buckner, linebackers Zack Nash and Colin Parker, tight ends Alex Gottlieb and Richard Quinn, center Adam Bice and defensive tackle David Carter. Guard Jonathan Cooper (leg) has been played on season-ending IR.
Miami signed linebacker Mike Rivera and safety Jonathon Amaya on Tuesday, reports the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. The Dolphins released guard Ray Feinga and safety Troy Nolan to make room.
The Saints and Dolphins were able to strike a deal Thursday, as RB Reggie Bush ended up in Miami -- sending reserve safety Jonathon Amaya to New Orleans in return along with an exchange of undisclosed draft picks.
