The Vikings waived five players Thursday in order to reach the roster limit, per the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The players involved are safety Ahmad Dixon, running back Henry Josey, tight end Ryan Otten, offensive tackle Antonio Richardson and guard Austin Wentworth.
The Bengals placed tight end Alex Smith (biceps) on injured reserve, released tight end Ryan Otten and signed offensive lineman Emmett Cleary to the practice squad.
The Chargers waived or released these players: running back Kerwynn Williams, offensive tackle Nick Becton, fullback Zach Boren, tight ends Ryan Otten and Jake Byrne, receivers Micah Hatfield and Brelan Chancellor, linebacker Adrian Hamilton, guard Darryl Johnson, cornerback Lowell Rose and punter Chase Tenpenny.
