Darby has been cleared to participate in practice following offseason foot surgery, The Buffalo News reports. Dareus, like most of the Bills' defensive players, had a poor year by his standards with just two sacks in 2015, but he's generally regarded as one of the league's best interior lineman and there's some hope that, with another year in Rex Ryan's system and the return of fellow lineman Kyle Williams, he can return to his dominating ways. Dareus posted 17.5 sacks over 2013 and 2014.
Dareus suffered a broken foot during Sunday's win over the Jets. Dareus finished this season with a career-low two sacks under new coach Rex Ryan, hurting his IDP value significantly. As the defensive tackle now enters the offseason, he'll mend a broken foot and hope to return to his previously dominant form once healthy.
Dareus (neck) is active Sunday against the Jets. Dareus is one of the more valuable interior linemen for the Bills, though his fantasy upside is a bit limited given that he doesn't rack up a ton of tackles or sacks.
Dareus (neck) practiced on a full basis for the second straight day Friday and is listed as probable for Sunday's finale against the Jets. The Bills will have one of the more valuable interior linemen on hand this week while they try to knock the rival Jets out of the playoffs.
Dareus suffered a pinched nerve in his neck during Sunday's win over Dallas and the Bills say he has a chance to play this week in the finale, BuffaloBills.com reports. "Marcell had a pinched nerve, or stinger or whatever, but it was longer than that," said coach Rex Ryan. "We're hoping to get him back. We hope to get him back." Dareus must have suffered a pretty significant stinger, as he was initially listed as probable but never returned to the game. Even though the playoff ship has long since sailed, you know the Bills will let him play this week if he's able to practice, as Rex Ryan would like nothing better than to knock his former team out of the playoffs.
