Line underwent hip surgery after this season but is expected to be off crutches in the near future, Andrew Krammer of the Star Tribune reports. Line started four of his 15 games played in 2016, rushing for 15 yards on seven carries. Now slated to be an unrestricted free agent, Line's hip procedure doesn't sound like something that should impact his availability ahead of the 2017 campaign.
Line (concussion) is inactive for Saturday's tilt against Green Bay. Line faced an uphill climb to play in Week 16 after being concussed last week and only having a short week to go through the NFL's concussion protocol. Look for Matt Asiata to pick up some extra goal line carries with Line out.
Line has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Colts with a concussion. The only Vikings' fullback on the 53-man roster, Line will likely yield the spot to short-yardage back Matt Asiata. Line's return to game action will be subject to the five-step concussion protocol.
Line had three carries for six yards in Monday's win over the Giants. It was Line's first carries of the season as the Vikings used him in several short-yardage situations. He's almost exclusively used as a blocker, but at least this shows he's not totally forgotten in the playbook.
Line (knee) is officially listed as active for the Vikings game against the Giants. This move is unsurprising considering the fullback was removed from the final Vikings' injury report put out on Saturday. He should be in line for his usual workload Monday.
