Porter (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday. Porter injured his hamstring in Week 15 and missed the Jaguars' Week 16 game against the Titans. Porter had spent much of the season on the practice squad and hadn't recorded any tackles in two games played for Jacksonville this season. The team should move on just fine in his absence.
Porter (hamstring) has been ruled out of Saturday' game against Tennessee. Porter injured his hamstring in last week's tilt against Houston and hasn't practiced since. Marcus Rush will likely see some extra reps while Porter is sidelined.
Porter suffered a hamstring injury and is questionable to return, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports. Look for more updates to come as the game continues with Dan Skuta seeing increased reps in his absence.
Porter was promoted to the active roster Tuesday. The Jaguars promoted Porter after waiving veteran linebacker Arthur Brown. The 2013 fourth-round pick hasn't played on an NFL field since 2014 due to various injuries. He'll now back up Dan Skuta, who is dealing with an elbow injury this week.
In addition to the moves the Bengals made Monday, most notably releasing receiver Denarius Moore, the team cut seven more players to get down to the 75-man limit, per ESPN.com. The team released WR Desmond Lawrence, LB Nico Johnson, DT Kwame Geathers, DE Sam Montgomery, OG Chris Jasperse, TE John Peters and WR Tevin Reese. The team put FB Mark Weisman and WR Onterio McCalebb on the waived/injured list, LB Sean Porter on the reserve/PUP list and OT Cedric Ogbuehi on the reserve/non-football injury list.
