Fleming has re-signed with the Chiefs, The Kansas City Star reports. While most of his contributions came on special teams in 2015, Fleming did also log 157 defensive snaps. He finished the campaign with 21 tackles (19 solo) and a fumble recovery, hardly enough for him to be considered in IDP leagues. There's nothing to suggest his role will change in 2016, but the departure of Sean Smith in free agency will lead to a shift in the defensive backfield.
The Chiefs ruled tight end defensive end Allen Bailey (concussion), wideout Junior Hemingway (concussion), cornerback Jamell Fleming (hamstring) tight end Richard Gordon, quarterback Aaron Murray, center Eric Kush and offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif inactive for the game at Arizona.
The Chiefs enter their Week 14 showdown vs. Arizona relatively healthy, according to its final injury report released on Friday. 13 of the 15 players on the report were listed as probable. Defensive end Allen Bailey and wide receiver Junior Hemingway were both ruled out with concussions. The following players were designated as probable: Wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin), running back Jamaal Charles (knee), punter Dustin Colquitt (right calf), tight end Anthony Fasano (knee), defensive back Jamell Fleming (hamstring), linebacker Dee Ford (quad), linebacker Tamba Hali (knee), linebacker James-Michael Johnson (back, knee), linebacker Josh Mauga (back), guard Mike McGlynn (quad), cornerback Chris Owens (knee) and cornerback Sean Smith (groin).
The Chiefs have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's matchup with the Broncos: wide receiver Junior Hemingway (concussion), cornerback Jamell Fleming (hamstring), tight end Phillip Supernaw, quarterback Aaron Murray, center Eric Kush, tackle Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and defensive tackle Nick Williams. Hemingway was previously ruled out on the team's final injury report. Fleming had been listed as probable to play in Week 13. The team will have both defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson (calf) and cornerback Chris Owens (knee, abdomen) after both players were listed as questionable. While Fleming is inactive after being listed as probable, the following probables are active Sunday night: wide receiver Donnie Avery (groin), punter Dustin Colquitt (knee), tight end Anthony Fasano (knee), linebacker Tamba Hali (knee), cornerback Sean Smith (groin) and tackle Donald Stephenson (shoulder).
The Chiefs have landed double-figures on their injury report for the Sunday night game against Denver, but only wideout Junior Hemingway (concussion) is set to sit. Cornerback Chris Owens (knee/abdomen) and defensive tackle Kevin Vickerson (calf) are questionable while the other seven are probable. That group consists of wideout Donnie Avery (groin), punter Dustin Conquitt (calf), tight end Anthony Fasano (knee), defensive back Jamell Fleming (hamstring), linebacker Tamba Hali (knee), cornerback Sean Smith (groin) and offensive lineman Donald Stephenson (shoulder).
