Lions defensive tackle Haloti Ngata is dealing with a calf injury and has been ruled out for the Sunday game against Chicago, per Justin Rogers of MLive.com. With the lane-clogging Ngata unavailable after failing to practice this week, the Lions could have difficulty containing Matt Forte and the Bears' ground game.
Cornerback Justin Rogers has been re-signed by the Redskins, according to the Baltimore Sun. After playing for three teams in 2013, Rogers was signed by the Redskins last season. The 27-year-old has spent time with the Bills, Texans, Dolphins and Redskins. Entering his fifth year in the NFL, Rogers has registered 77 total tackles, 14 passes defensed and three interceptions.
The Chiefs have announced their final round of cuts and other moves to reach the league-mandated roster of 53 players. Among the offensive players let go are fullback Jordan Campbell, wide receivers Fred Williams and Mark Harrison, guard Ricky Henry, tackle J'Marcus Webb and running back Charcandrick West. The defensive players gone from the roster are safeties Jonathon Amaya and Malcolm Bronson, linemen Dominique Hamilton, Kyle Love and Kona Schwenke, linebackers Alonzo Highsmith, Devan Walker and Nico Johnson and cornerbacks Justin Rogers and DeMarcus Van Dyke . The Chiefs have also placed Tyler Bray and Kyle Williams on IR and Mike Catapano on the non-football injury list.
The Dolphins have signed veteran cornerback Chris Owens, who had been let go Tuesday by the Browns, and waived cornerback Justin Rogers.
The Dolphins unveiled their inactive list for Week 15 against the Patriots shortly before kickoff Sunday. The seven players not in uniform for the game are: offensive linemen David Arkin and Danny Watkins; quarterback Pat Devlin; defensive backs D.J. Campbell, Justin Rogers and Jamar Taylor (hamstring); and defensive lineman A.J. Francis.
