The Bears have signed linebacker DeDe Lattimore to a two-year contract extension. He appeared in 10 games as a rookie in 2014, recording five special teams tackles.
The Bears have listed the following players as inactive for Sunday night's game against the Packers: cornerback Terrance Mitchell, offensive lineman Eben Britton, tight end Blake Annen, defensive end David Bass and linebackers Darryl Sharpton (hamstring), DeDe Lattimore and Khaseem Greene. Sharpton was ruled out for the game on Friday's final injury report, so his absence is no surprise. Annen was promoted from the practice squad Saturday as insurance for starting tight end Martellus Bennett, but the starter is active for Sunday's game.
The Bears re-signed long snapper Jeremy Cain and also filled their 10-man practice squad, signing receivers Josh Bellamy and Rashad Ross, center Taylor Boggs, defensive tackles Brandon Dunn and Roy Philon, cornerbacks Isaiah Frey, Al Louis-Jean and Terrance Mitchell, guard Ryan Groy and linebacker DeDe Lattimore.
The Bears trimmed down their roster to 53 on Saturday, cutting the following players: WR Armanti Edwards, RB Jordan Lynch, TE Jeron Mastrud, OL Dennis Roland, OL Robert Turner, WR Josh Bellamy, C Taylor Boggs, DT Brandon Dunn, LB Jerry Franklin, G Ryan Groy, LB DeDe Lattimore, CB Al Louis-Jean, WR Dale Moss, DT Lee Pegues, DT Tracy Robertson, S Marcus Trice, WR Chris Williams, CB C.J. Wilson, OT Eben Britton, CB Kelvin Hayden, DE Austen Lane and S M.D. Jennings.
The Bears have announced the release of several players. Included among them are guards Ryan Groy and Taylor Boggs, wide receivers Chris Williams and Dale Moss, linebacker DeDe Lattimore, defensive lineman Lee Pegues and safety Marcus Trice.
