Dolphins cornerback Walt Aikens was suspended for the season finale Sunday for missing a team meeting after he was involved in a domestic dispute at his Sunrise home, per WINZ-AM. The report further claimed, per a source, that there was no physical violence with his girlfriend, but that his phone was smashed.
Sources indicated Dolphins safety Walt Aikens has been suspended for the season finale against the Jets, reports the Sun Sentinel. There was no indication as to why Aikens was suspended. He was declared inactive for Week 17. In 15 games, Aikens has 15 tackles and one interception.
The Dolphins listed the following players as inactive for Sunday's game against the Jets: Rishard Matthews, Walt Aikens, Dallas Thomas, Matt Hazel, LaMichael James, Deandre Coleman and Sam Brenner.
Dolphins tight end Charles Clay and cornerback Cortland Finnegan have been officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Patriots. Clay, who was a limited participant all week, returned to action for the first time in two weeks against the Ravens last week. Finnegan has missed the Dolphins' last four games with an ankle injury. Chris McCain and Jamar Taylor are also questionable. Guard Nate Garner, who missed practiced all week with an illness, is out as well as defensive tackle Anthony Johnson. Jelani Jenkins, Koa Misi and Jonathan Freeney are all doubtful. Walt Aikens, Dion Jordan, Dion Sims and Jimmy Wilson are all probable.
