The Texans made several roster moves on Sunday, according to the Houston Chronicle. The team waived offensive tackle Anthony Dima and waived injured guard Cody White and wide receiver Alan Bonner.
The Texans finalized their 53-man roster Saturday by placing receiver Alan Bonner (hamstring), tackle Brennan Williams (knee), and linebacker Trevardo Williams (knee) on injured reserve. Houston also released defensive lineman Daniel Muir, defensive tackle David Hunter and receiver Michael Smith with an injury settlement.In addition, the Texans waived the following 18 players from the roster: defensive end Keith Browner, tight end Jake Byrne, cornerback Roc Carmichael, fullback Tyler Clutts, linebacker Cameron Collins, receiver Andy Cruse, offensive lineman Tyler Horn, defensive end Delano Johnson, running back Dennis Johnson, safety Orhian Johnson, defensive tackle Chris Jones, running back Deji Karim, offensive lineman Alex Kupper, cornerback Elbert Mack, tackle Nate Menkin, linebacker Mike Mohamed, receiver Uzoma Nwachukwu and safety Jawanza Starling.
Texans rookie speedster Alan Bonner flashed throughout the team's rookie minicamp according to the official team website, with his best work coming on Sunday according to coach Gary Kubiak. "A ton of ability," Kubiak said of Bonner. "It's going to all be mental, making a change, what we ask him to do."
Notable players drafted by the Texans include LSU pass rusher Sam Montgomery, Connecticut linebacker Trevardo Williams, Jacksonville State receiver Alan Bonner, Bowling Green defensive tackle Chris Jones and Connecticut tight end Ryan Griffin.
