Kenbrell Thompkins will try to be a reserve receiver for the Jets this season. He spent 2015 with the Jets and had 17 catches for 165 yards and no touchdowns on 34 targets. He will have minimal Fantasy value entering the season and should not be drafted in the majority of leagues.
Thompkins has been extended the low tender ($1.67 million) by the Jets, Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports. The Jets will have the right of first refusal on any contract Thompkins signs, so if they really want him back in New York, he'll be wearing green again next year. Thompkins has caught 38 passes for 427 yards and no touchdowns over the past two seasons.
Thompkins (leg) failed to catch any of his four pass targets Sunday against the Bills. In the last drive of the game, Thompkins had a ball knocked free from his grasp on the play he could've easily turned into a game-winning touchdown. Over the last three seasons, he has 427 receiving yards and no touchdowns, and he'll hope to latch on to a roster as a fourth or fifth receiver.
Thompkins (quad/shin) is active Sunday against the Bills. Thompkins was officially listed as probable to play, a fairly remarkable turnaround after he had to be carted off the field during last Sunday's win over the Patriots. After being barely used for most of the season, Thompkins was targeted nine times last weekend, though he's still well below Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker in the passing game pecking order.
Thompkins (quad/shin) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Bills. Despite being carted off the field in the fourth quarter of Week 16's win over the Patriots, Thompkins should be a go Sunday, though he's only an option in deeper fantasy formats, with Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker clearly the Jets' top wideout options.
Thompkins (leg) did not sustain a major injury, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports. Despite being carted off the field in the fourth quarter, Thompkins was able to play a few snaps in the overtime period of Sunday's win over the Patriots. He thus stands a good chance to be ready for a Week 17 contest in Buffalo, after catching six passes for 77 yards on 15 targets over the past two games.
