The Patriots re-signed fullback James Develin, an exclusive rights free agent, to a one-year $660,000 contract, reports the Boston Herald. Develin is a solid blocker who played in every game last season, starting four.
Patriots wideout Danny Amendola and fullback James Develin did little Week 9 against the Broncos. Amendola hauled in two catches for 35 yards. He received three targets during the contest. Develin also caught two balls, gaining 13 yards. Both players are on a bye Week 10.
The Patriots received minor contributions from several role players during Sunday's playoff win over the Colts.Austin Collie and Michael Hoomanawanui each had one reception. He rushed for 35 yards on eight attempts and added one catch for 2 yards. Also snagging one each for New England were running back James Develin (31 yards), wide receiver Austin Collie (5 yards) and tight end Matthew Mulligan (15 yards).
