The Dolphins have released wide receiver Michael Preston. It was a surprising move considering he was having a strong camp, per the Palm Beach Post. Preston, however, was targeted just three times in two preseason games with one catch. He snagged 10 passes for Tennessee over the last two years combined.
Little-known Titans receiver Michael Preston came up big in the team's Week 15 loss to Arizona, catching the first two touchdowns of his career. Preston caught three of his five targets for 27 yards, including 10- and 8-yard scoring grabs in the fourth quarter. Preston's second touchdown came with 10 seconds left in regulation, sending the game to overtime. Preston went undrafted in 2011 out of Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. He played in the Arena League before signing with Tennessee. Up to 10 career catches, Preston visits the Jaguars in Week 16.
Titans WR Nate Washington, WR Michael Preston and TE Visanthe Shiancoe struggled to get going Week 14 against the Broncos. Washington played the biggest role, catching two passes for 24 yards. He finished second on the team in receiving yards. Preston caught just one pass for 6 yards. Shiancoe caught two passes, but picked up just 2 yards. They'll take on the Cardinals Week 15.
The Titans' list of inactives for Week 5 against the Chiefs includes wide receiver Michael Preston, offensive lineman Brian Schwenke, offensive lineman Byron Stingily, defensive back Blidi Wreh-Wilson (hamstring) and defensive lineman Sammie Lee Hill (ankle). Preston, Schwenke and Stingily are all healthy scratches.
Titans running back Jackie Battle, wide receiver Damian Williams and wide receiver Michael Preston all had minor contributions during a 20-17 win Week 3 vs. San Diego. Battle managed four carries for 12 yards. Williams had one catch for 9 yards. His only other target was a potential 34-yard touchdown pass late in the fourth quarter that fell incomplete. Preston had one catch for 4 yards. Tennessee's next game is Week 4 vs. N.Y. Jets.
