Vikings defensive end Justin Trattou is inactive Sunday against the Vikings. Trattou backs up Everson Griffin at right defensive end and the Vikings will be without needed depth. Depth is more of an issue than usual with the game being played at high altitude.
The Vikings announced several roster moves prior to Sunday's game against the Jets. The team placed rookie back Jerick McKinnon on injured reserve and elevated defensive end Justin Trattou from the practice squad. The team also added safety Ahmad Dixon to the practice squad.
The Vikings signed nine players to their practice squad: running back Joe Banyard, wideouts Kain Colter and Donte Foster, defensive tackle Isame Faciane, tight end Chase Ford, cornerback Kendall James, center Zac Kerin, offensive tackle Mike Remmers and defensive end Justin Trattou. Minnesota released linebacker Larry Dean and offensive tackle Austin Wentworth.

The Vikings also waived defensive back Robert Steeples, and used the two available roster spots to sign running back Joe Banyard and defensive lineman Justin Trattou from the practice squad.
