It wasn't bad enough that defensive end/tight end Mason Brodine had to sit out last season with a fracture ankle. Now he has no team to play for, ESPN is reporting. Brodine has been released by the Rams. He did not play a game for them in three years after managing to get into two games for Oakland in 2011.
Rams converted tight end Mason Brodine suffered a fractured ankle during Thursday's preseason opener against the Saints, according to the team's official website. Head coach Jeff Fisher declared Brodine out for the season with the injury.
