The Browns cut defensive backs Royce Adams and T.J. Heath, offensive linemen Randall Harris, Ryan Lee and Jeremiah Warren, running back Edwin Baker, defensive lineman Cam Henderson, receivers Tim Smith, Jonathan Krause and Anthony Armstrong, linebackers Caleb McSurdy and Keith Pough, and tight end Martell Webb.
The Browns signed free-agent defensive back Royce Adams to a contract Wednesday, the terms of which are not yet known. Adams was previously with the Jets in training camp, but was one of the final cuts prior to the start of the season. The former Purdue product has yet to appear in an NFL game, but did spend one season in the Arena Football League.
The Jets officially finalized their 53-man roster Saturday by placing running back Mike Goodson on the Reserve/Suspended List by the NFL. In addition, the Jets also waived the following 20 players from the roster: quarterback Greg McElroy, defensive tackle Antonio Garay, running back Mossis Madu, receiver Michael Campbell, receiver Mohamed Massaquoi, receiver Ben Obomanu, receiver Zach Rogers, tight end Chris Pantale, offensive lineman Erik Cook, offensive lineman J.B. Shugarts, offensive lineman Jason Smith, defensive lineman Junior Aumavae, defensive lineman Lanier Coleman, defensive lineman Tevita Finau, linebacker Troy Davis, linebacker JoJo Dickson, linebacker Jacquies Smith, defensive back Royce Adams, defensive back Mike Edwards, and defensive back Rontez Miles.
