The Dolphins waived tackle Steven Baker and safety Demetrius Wright Monday and waived/injured kicker John Potter.
The Dolphins have signed kicker Jake Rogers, according to a report from FOX Sports on Sunday. Rogers will compete with Caleb Sturgis and John Potter -- both who are dealing with injuries -- for the kicking job.
Dolphins kicker John Potter left Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys with a hip injury. Potter, who is competing against the injured Caleb Sturgis (groin) for the starting spot, may have sustained the injury while kicking a 26-yard field goal in the first quarter of the game. He did not return after the kick.
The Lions released wideouts Carlin Isles and Cody Wilson, center Sherman Carter, linebacker Jon Morgan, cornerback Nate Ness, safety Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, kicker John Potter and tight end Matt Veldman.
