Carrier (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Tarik El-Bashir of CSN Washington reports. Carrier tore his ACL and MCL this past Sunday , which forcast his placement on IR. Washington's tight-end ranks include Je'ron Hamm and Alex Smith behind clear No. 1 option Jordan Reed.
Carrier tore both his ACL and MCL during Sunday's game against the Bears and will consequently miss the remainder of this season, NFL.com reports. Carrier's 2015 campaign ends with him catching 17 passes (on 22 targets) for 141 yards and one touchdown. With him out, the Redskins may be on the market for another tight end, since besides the emergent Jordan Reed, Je'Ron Hamm is the only other player at the position on Washington's roster.
Carrier (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Bears. Carrier went down with a knee injury after hauling in his only reception of the day. He was questionable heading into the game while dealing with an ankle and Achilles injury that caused him to miss last week's game and will now return to the sideline. The Redskins are down to two tight ends on their active roster, Jordan Reed and Je'Ron Hamm.
Carrier (ankle/Achilles) is listed as active Sunday at Chicago, Liz Clarke of Washington Post reports. Posting back-to-back full practices to end the week paved the way for Carrier's return, though he'll continue to serve behind Jordan Reed in the tight-end ranks.
Carrier (ankle/Achilles) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears. If Carrier can't return for Sunday's game, Je'ron Hamm will step up as the No. 2 tight end behind Jordan Reed. Even if he plays, Carrier probably won't see more than two or three targets.
