The Vikings released safety Brandan Bishop, offensive tackles Kevin Murphy and Pierce Burton, defensive ends Jake Snyder and Tyler Scott, defensive tackle Kheeston Randall, receivers Kamar Jorden, Erik Lora and Andy Cruse, and cornerbacks Derek Cox and Robert Steeples. Minnesota also waived/injured safety Mistral Raymond, who suffered a concussion in the preseason opener.
The Vikings made a series of roster moves Saturday, in the wake of John Carlson's placement on injured reserve. The Vikings also waived defensive back Robert Steeples, and used the two available roster spots to sign running back Joe Banyard and defensive lineman Justin Trattou from the practice squad.

The Rams announced Monday they waived 11 players. They were kicker/punter Brett Baer, wide receiver Demetrius Fields, wide receiver Andrew Helmick, long snapper Jorgen Hus, quarterback Tim Jenkins, defensive tackle Al Lapuaho, linebacker Joseph LeBeau, tight end Colby Prince, wide receiver Raymond Radway and cornerback Robert Steeples. In addition, offensive lineman Graham Pocic was waived/injured.
