White signed a future/reserve contract with the Jets on Wednesday, Randy Lange of the team's official site reports. White has bounced around the league the past three years, including stints with the Packers, Giants, and Jets. He heads back to the Jets with some baseline knowledge of the offense after spending six weeks of the season on the team's practice squad.
White was waived by the Giants Monday. With Victor Cruz looking healthier, and Tavarres King playing well, there was no room for White.
With Odell Beckham out, White could see more work Sunday, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. White is slated to start in Beckham's Z receiver spot, and if Dwayne Harris, who's battling a shoulder injury is also out, White could have a significant role.
Wide receiver Myles White has been promoted from the Giants' practice squad to the active roster. With tight end Daniel Fells being placed on season-ending IR, the Giants were able to call up White from the practice squad. It's unlikely White has much of a fantasy impact, as Odell Beckham, Rueben Randle, and Dwayne Harris lead the wide receiving corps, with a possible return of Victor Cruz (calf) in the near future.
The Packers officially announced Monday they signed wide receiver James Jones, who was released by the Giants on Saturday. To clear a roster spot, wide receiver Myles White was released.
