Colter was cut Friday, BuffaloBills.com reports. Colter was on the outside looking in for one of the last receiving spots, but never really stepped up enough like Walter Powell did to earn a final spot.

He spent time on the Vikings' practice squad last season, but with limited roster spots available for the Rams this summer, Colter has been released and will return to the free agent market.
