The Raiders have released linebacker Bojay Filimoeatu, cornerback Jansen Watson and linebacker Justin Jackson, reports ESPN.Filimoeatu played in eight games with the Raiders last season, Watson played with the team's practice squad and Jackson played with three other teams in 2014.
The Raiders announced several roster moves prior to Week 15, per the team's official website. The team placed safety Larry Asante on the injured reserve list, and signed safety Ras-I Dowling and linebacker Bojay Filimoeatu to their active roster from the team's practice squad.
The Raiders announced they waived linebacker Bojay Filimoeatu. He was a healthy scratch Week 8 and had five tackles in five games.
Wideout Vincent Brown (hamstring) is the most notable player among the Raiders inactives released for the Sunday game in Cleveland. Also hurt and out are cornerback Keith McGill (groin) and tight end David Ausberry (foot). The healthy scratches are quarterback Matt McGloin, linebacker Bojay Filimoeatu and offensive linemen Matt McCants and Tony Bergstrom.
With Miles Burris (foot), Sio Moore (ankle) and Nick Roach (concussion) all recovering from injuries, the Raiders might have to start Kaluka Maiava and Bojay Filimoeatu at linebacker alongside Khalil Mack during Sunday's game against the Dolphins, according to CSNBayArea.com. "We'll continue to monitor that situation, but I'm hopeful that one or maybe two of (the injured players) could be ready," head coach Dennis Allen said. "We'll just have to see how the week goes."
