Former New Orleans wide receiver Robert Meachem will work out for the Lions on Tuesday. The 30-year old Meachem had seven catches for 114 yards last year. For his career, he has 178 catches.

After New Orleans released Joe Morgan Tuesday, the team promoted rookie Seantavius Jones to the active roster. The final wide receiver on Monday is likely to be between Meachem and Jones. "I just have to be ready to play my role when coach calls my number," Meachem said.
