The Bears have re-signed tight end Dante Rosario, reports ESPN Chicago. Rosario is entering his ninth year in the NFL, playing for the Panthers, Dolphins, Broncos, Chargers and Bears. His career numbers include 116 receptions for 1,235 yards and eight touchdowns. The 30-year-old has only started 11 games in the last four years.
A pair of Bears made the tiniest of contributions Sunday against the victorious Lions. Wideout Josh Morgan caught two passes for two yards while tight end Dante Rosario snagged one for one yard.
The Bears got a few offensive contributions in Monday's 31-15 home loss to the Saints. Among them, rookie running back Ka'Deem Carey caught all three of his targets for 39 yards and had a 4-yard carry. Tight end Dante Rosario made a 4-yard catch. Wideout Josh Morgan was targeted once without a catch. They'll play the Lions in Week 16.
Bears wideout Marquess Wilson and tight end Dante Rosario each hauled in one pass Week 12. Wilson's only reception went for 10 yards. He was targeted three times. Rosario was only targeted once, gaining 6 yards. Both players will look for more Week 13 against the Lions.
