The Saints cut ties with wide receiver Josh Morgan on Saturday, reports ESPN. Morgan caught 10 passes for 70 yards in 14 games last season.
A pair of Bears made the tiniest of contributions Sunday against the victorious Lions. Wideout Josh Morgan caught two passes for two yards while tight end Dante Rosario snagged one for one yard.
The Bears got a few offensive contributions in Monday's 31-15 home loss to the Saints. Among them, rookie running back Ka'Deem Carey caught all three of his targets for 39 yards and had a 4-yard carry. Tight end Dante Rosario made a 4-yard catch. Wideout Josh Morgan was targeted once without a catch. They'll play the Lions in Week 16.
Bears backup pass catchers Marquess Wilson and Josh Morgan did little Week 14 against the Cowboys. Wilson did receive five targets, but only came up with two receptions. He finished with 19 yards. Morgan hauled in one pass, gaining 8 yards. Both players will look for more Week 15 against the Saints.
The Bears will have both Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall Week 12 against the Buccaneers. Both players came into the contest listed as probable, and were always expected to play. The team will also have Ego Ferguson and Josh Morgan. Both players were also listed as probable. Ferguson is getting over an illness. Morgan has a shoulder injury. Demontre Hurst , who was listed as questionable, will attempt to play through a knee injury.
