Peko signed a two-year contract with the Broncos on Saturday, Mike Klis of 9News.com reports. The defensive tackle heads to Denver after spending the first 10 years of his career with the Bengals. Peko has been an ironman on the field as he has not missed a contest since 2009. He'll join his cousin, Kyle Peko, on the defensive line in Denver and the two will likely compete for reps as the starting nose tackle.
Peko (ankle) was not listed on Cincinnati's Week 1 injury report. Peko was forced to leave the Bengals' playoff game against the Steelers after he injured his ankle and little was heard of his injury after that. Whatever the issue was, it hasn't held him back this year and he'll be in the starting lineup when Cincinnati plays the Jets on Sunday.
Peko sustained a right ankle injury as is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Bengals, Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL.com reports. It's unclear when Peko might have sustained the injury, but more information regarding the severity of the injury should be available after the game.
The Bengals will be without the services of linebackers Vontaze Burfict (knee) and Jayson DiManche (forearm) for Week 14 against Pittsburgh. Burfict and DiManche were the only two players ruled out for the game, but defensive end Margus Hunt (ankle) and wide receiver James Wright (knee) could join them come Sunday. Both Hunt and Wright were labeled as doubtful for the game. Meanwhile, defensive tackle Domata Peko (elbow) was the only player on the report deemed questionable, while defensive end Robert Geathers (hip), wide receiver A.J. Green (thigh), tight end Ryan Hewitt (illness), cornerback Adam Jones (concussion), tackle Marshall Newhouse (hip) and guard/center Mike Pollak (knee) were listed as probable.
An elbow problem that again had Bengals defensive tackle Domata Peko sidelined from practice Thursday will likely not prevent him from playing the Week 14 game against Pittsburgh, according to the team website. Peko has started every game this season, but left the Sunday defeat of Tampa Bay with the issue and did not return.
