Thigpen was released by the Bills on Tuesday, was placed on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday, Tyler Dunne of The Buffalo News reports. Even with Robert Woods (groin) placed on injured reserve, the Bills would prefer to get a look at some different wide receivers. Walter Powell and Greg Salas are replacing Thigpen and Woods on the 53-man roster
The Bills have signed Thigpen. With Leodis McKelvin having some issues holding on to the ball as a punt returner of late, and Boom Herron and Denarius Moore having been let go by the team, Thigpen will once again join the Bills' return mix in advance of Sunday's game against the Chiefs.
Thigpen has signed with the Colts. Thigpen was released by the Bills just last week, but will now join the Colts and aim to make his presence felt primarily on special teams.
Bills running back C.J. Spiller (shoulder) is among the team's players listed as probable who are active for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Spiller is making his return from injured reserve and will be playing in his first game since Week 7. Also active after being listed as probable are safeties Da'Norris Searcy (hamstring) and Duke Williams (concussion), cornerback Stephon Gilmore (shoulder), defensive end Jarius Wynn (knee), running back Anthony Dixon (chest), wide receiver Marcus Thigpen (foot) and kicker Dan Carpenter (groin). The Bills are a 6 1/2-point favorite for Sunday's road matchup with the Raiders.
