Soliai will be released by the Panthers on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Soliai signed a two-year, $7 million deal only last year. He was owed a $500 thousand roster bonus Mar. 11, so apparently Carolina didn't find the former Pro Bowler worth keeping on. Soliai will look to find work as a run-stopping defensive tackle on an NFL roster in the coming months. He recorded only eight combined tackles in 2016.
Soliai (foot) is active for Sunday's game against the Cardinals. The Panthers listed Soliai as questionable for Sunday's game even though he was able to practice all week, so it's not surprising that he'll be available. The defensive tackle has posted five stops over four appearances on the season.
Soliai (foot) is questionable to play Sunday against the Cardinals. Soliai practiced without limitation this week and doesn't appear in danger of missing the game.
Soliai (foot) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Steve Reed of the Associated Press reports. Soliai appears to getting back to full health after recovering during the Panthers' bye this past week. At this point his status for Sunday's game against the Cardinals doesn't appear to be in jeopardy.
Soliai (foot) will not play against the Saints in Week 6. Soliai did not practice this week, but the details surrounding his injury are unclear at this point in time. Look for Star Lotulelei and Kawann Short to take on the majority of reps at defensive tackle on Sunday.
