The Browns signed running backs Timothy Flanders and Jalen Parmele on Monday after suffering a rash of injuries at the position. Flanders spent time with New Orleans last year. Parmele has played with Miami and Arizona. To make room, the Browns waived wide receiver Kevin Cone and defensive back Brandon Stephens
The Cardinals signed defensive tackle Bruce Gaston from Miami's practice squad and released running back Jalen Parmele.
The Cardinals have placed troubled running back Jonathan Dwyer on the reserve/non-football illness list following his arrest for domestic violence. They have filled the roster spot with fellow back Jalen Parmele . The move of Dwyer provides the team with the option of not paying him. Parmele proved promising in the preseason, prompting praise from Bruce Arians. He could be used in short-yardage situations.
The Cardinals have pared down their roster to 53 on Saturday by cutting 21 players. Arizona cut the following players: RB Zach Bauman, LB Marcus Benard, OL Philip Blake, LB Jonathan Brown, WR Dan Buckner, OL John Estes, DT Bruce Gaston, WR Brittan Golden, TE Andre Hardy, CB Jimmy Legree, CB Bryan McCann, OL Kelvin Palmer, RB Jalen Parmele, DT Isaac Sopoaga, OL Anthony Steen, S Curtis Taylor, LB Adrian Tracy, DT Christian Tupou, S Anthony Walters, CB Teddy Williams and OL Nate Potter.
The Titans have reported that they have pared down their roster by 10 players. Included are defensive tackles Zach Clayton and DaJohn Harris, safety Al Afalava, tackle Daniel Baldridge, tight end Brandon Barden (injured), linebacker Gary Guyton, defensive end Nigel Nicholas, running back Jalen Parmele, guard Kasey Studdard and wide receiver Dontel Watkins. Guyton and Studdard boast some experience. The former was a part-time starter for Green Bay from 2009 to 2011 while the latter played extensively with Houston in 2009. The Titans will make more cuts on Saturday.
