The Cardinals have announced they have signed veteran free agent inside linebacker Darryl Sharpton to a one-year contract. Safety Eddie Whitley has been released to clear roster space. Sharpton played in five games for the Bears in 2014. He lost much of the year to injury.
The Bears announced a pair of roster moves prior to Week 15, per the team's official website. The team placed linebacker Darryl Sharpton on injured reserve with a hamstring injury and promoted quarterback David Fales from practice squad.
The Bears have listed Terrance Mitchell, Khaseem Greene, Eben Britton, Jeremiah Ratliff, Robbie Gould, Darryl Sharpton and Cornelius Washington as inactive for Week 14 against the Cowboys. Sharpton was the only player ruled out prior to the contest. He's dealing with a hamstring injury. Gould was considered doubtful coming in due to a quad issue. He'll be replaced by Jay Feely. Ratliff was questionable due to a knee injury.
