Gano hit five extra points and both field-goal tries during Sunday's NFC championship game win against the Cardinals. Like his Super Bowl 50 counterpart (Brandon McManus), Gano has yet to miss a kick in the postseason, including a success from 40-49 in both games to date. After making 15-for-20 from 40-plus in the regular season, he's fairly reliable from distance, but more often than not, the NFL's highest-scoring offense handed him PATs, as evidenced by a league-leading 59 attempts.
Gano finished off the regular season second in scoring with 146 points, making 30 of 36 field-goal attempts. He also converted 56 of his 59 extra point attempts. Gano proved to be one of the league's best kickers after another impressive showing this regular-season. He attempted the most field-goals in his career, resulting in an 83.3 field-goal percentage. He will look to continue to be a source of production as the Panthers take on the Seahawks on Sunday.
Gano finished with five points in Sunday's game against the Saints, converting 5-of-6 extra point attempts and not attempting a field goal on the day. Gano's lone missed extra point Sunday was blocked by the Saints and returned for two points, the first time that scoring play has occurred in NFL history. Despite the Panthers notching 41 points Sunday, Gano didn't attempt a single field goal, thus resulting in only five points, which marked Gano's second-lowest scoring outing of the season.
Gano finished with 15 points in Thursday's win over the Cowboys, converting on 4-of-5 field-goal attempts and knocking down all three of his extra-point tries. The Panthers controlled the clock through much of the game, but their failure to convert on eight of their 16 third-down chances worked to the benefit of Gano. A blocked kick by the Cowboys on his final attempt from the field was the only thing that stood in the way of a perfect day for Gano, who has recorded double-digit points in four of his last five games.
Gano converted both of his field goal attempts and all three extra point tries en route to nine points against the Eagles on Sunday night. Gano's pair of field goals both came during the fourth quarter, from 35 and 29 yards, respectively. In doing so, Gano brought his season conversion rate to 10-of-13 field goals. With 18-of-19 extra point tries successful as well, Gano totes 48 points on the campaign.
