Cushing had "clean up" surgery on his shoulder, John McClain of the Houston Chronicle reports. Cushing dealt with knee, back, ankle, and shoulder injuries throughout the 2016 campaign but didn't miss any time due to his shoulder ailment. His other injuries aren't expected to require surgery and he isn't expected to be held out of any offseason practices.
Cushing (ankle) participated fully in Thursday's practice session. Cushing played through his ankle injury in Saturday's win over Oakland and isn't expected to miss any time in the divisional round despite being limited in Wednesday's practice.
Cushing (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday. Cushing played through the injury in Saturday's wild-card win over the Raiders, recording four tackles in the contest. Barring any major setbacks, it seems unlikely the linebacker would miss Saturday's tilt with New England, but look for more official updates to come throughout the practice week.
Cushing (ankle) was a full participant during Wednesday's practice. Cushing was forced to sit out of last week's regular season finale due to his ankle troubles, but it seems like he'll be ready for Sunday's wild-card matchup with the Raiders. With both Cushing and teammate Jadeveon Clowney looking like they'll play Sunday, the Texans should be getting a nice boost defensively.
Cushing (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's regular season finale against Tennessee. Cushing was limited in practice throughout the week, and with Houston having nothing to gain in Week 17 he is likely just being rested for the playoffs. Look for Max Bullough to get the start in Cushing's place.
