The Giants released wideout Mario Manningham, who was on injured reserve with a calf injury, reports Yahoo Sports.
The Giants have placed wide receiver Mario Manningham and Trindon Holliday on injured reserve, per Yahoo! Sports. Manningham has been dealing with ongoing knee problems that limited him to six games, including three starts, in 2013. Holliday, who doubles as a kick returner, missed most of the preseason with a hamstring injury.

Manningham worked with the second-team and caught his only pass of the night from backup quarterback Ryan Nassib. Knee injuries limited Manningham to 18 games over the past two seasons with the 49ers. He was limited to nine catches in six games in 2013 before returning to the Giants in the offseason.
