    Domenik Hixon on roster bubble?

Domenik Hixon has gone from the Panthers' most likely No. 3 receiver to the roster bubble, reports ESPN.com. David Gettis shines in second preseason game

Panthers receiver David Gettis is buried pretty far down on the depth chart, but he made the most of his chances in Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles. Gettis saw a bit of playing time with the first-team offense, but did his damage after the reserves came in. Gettis was targeted once by Cam Newton, failing to bring that catch in. He was dominant in the second half, however, bringing in five receptions for 82 yards, both of which led the team. Gettis is fighting for a spot within the team's receiver rotation, but it likely to end up no higher than No. 5 on the depth chart.
