    Buccaneers sign Joe Hawley, release Eric Kush on Monday

    The Buccaneers announced the signing of former Falcons offensive lineman Joe Hawley . Hawley played in 57 games (23 starts) in five seasons with Atlanta. To make room for him on the 53-man roster, the Bucs released center Eric Kush. Kush was a gameday inactive for the team's Week 1 loss against the Titans on Sunday.

    Injuries continue to hamper Falcons offensive line

    The Falcons are without three probable starters on their offensive line as they continue to go through organized team activities, per Left tackle Jake Matthews is still recovering from a Lisfranc ligament tear in his foot. Right guard Jon Asamoah has been held out of practice with an undisclosed injury. Center Joe Hawley is still rehabbing from an ACL and MCL tear in his knee. Offensive line coach Chris Morgan says the team will continue to prepare with the players they have available while those who are injured continue to recover. "These guys are working hard," Morgan said. "The guys who are out here, it's just the next man up. And they've done a good job with that so far." The Falcons signed right guard Chris Chester recently to help fill the void left on the offensive line by injury.

    Falcons' Joe Hawley to rehab during minicamp

    Falcons center Joe Hawley said he will continue his rehab from a torn ACL and MCL in his right knee at voluntary minicamp Tuesday, ESPN reports. Hawley, who suffered the injury last September, is confident he'll return to full speed by training camp in late July. James Stone, who replaced the starting center last season, will likely continue to replace him for any drill work as Hawley continues his rehab.

    Matt Ryan has confidence in Falcons' revamped offensive line

    Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan said he has confidence in the team's revamped offensive line heading into Week 5 against the Giants, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The team lost center Joe Hawley and right tackle Lamar Holmes to season-ending injuries, and Justin Blalock is batting a back injury that will likely sideline him Sunday. The offensive line Week 5 will feature Peter Konz at center and Gabe Carimi at right tackle, with Harland Gunn expected to play at left guard.
