49ers' Shaun Draughn: 20 touches for 86 yards Sunday

Draughn had 15 carries for 51 yards and caught all five of his targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 19-13 loss to Arizona. Draughn continues to monopolize the touches in San Francisco's backfield, as no other RB carried the ball Sunday. While he's not making many big plays, the volume is making up for it, and he's been productive as a receiver the last two weeks, catching 13 of 16 targets for 75 yards. He'll have an easier matchup next week at Chicago, although the Bears have played better defensively over the last few games.

49ers' Shaun Draughn: 77 yards from scrimmage

Draughn ran 12 times for 37 yards and caught eight of 11 targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 29-13 loss at Seattle. Draughn had a career-high 58 rushing yards in San Francisco's Week 9 win over the Falcons, but he found less room to operate Sunday. He did easily lead the team in touches, however, as no other running back carried the ball. Expect Draughn to continue to see a decent amount of work in the 49ers' backfield until Carlos Hyde (foot) is able to return, and next up will be the Cardinals in Week 12.

    49ers' Shaun Draughn: Starting Sunday

Draughn will be the 49ers' starting running back Sunday in Seattle, Taylor Price of the 49ers' official site reports. Draughn is receiving his second nod in a row for the inactive Carlos Hyde, who is recovering from a stress fracture in his foot. Even if he receives the bulk of the carries, Draughn may not have the most fruitful outing against a Seahawks defense that has contained running backs to 3.6 YPC and three touchdowns in 2015.

49ers' Shaun Draughn: In line for another start.

Draughn figures to get a second consecutive start in Sunday's game against the Seahawks, the 49ers' official website reports. Carlos Hyde (foot) won't even travel to Seattle and doesn't seem like a good bet to return for Week 12. Though far from spectacular in the talent department, Draughn did prove capable in Week 9 against the Falcons, picking up 58 yards on 16 carries and 38 yards on four reception. Kendall Gaskins may also get some carries, and Travaris Cadet could handle some passing-down work, but Draughn is the clear top choice in San Francisco's backfield. Granted, the 49ers are heavy underdogs in a matchup with one of the league's better defensive teams.

49ers' Shaun Draughn: Totals 96 yards against Atlanta

Draughn rushed for 58 yards on 16 carries in Sunday's win over Atlanta. He added four catches off of five targets for 38 yards. More than half of Draughn's rushing yards came on a 30-yard draw in which he slipped off of a tackler and rumbled up field. Sunday represented a career high in both yardage and touches for Draughn and there may be plenty more where that came from with Mike Davis placed on injured reserve with a designation to return and Carlos Hyde hobbled with a fractured foot.

49ers' Shaun Draughn: Could be involved in offense

The 49ers will use some combination of Draughn, Kendall Gaskins and Pierre Thomas at running back in Sunday's game against the Falcons, CSN Bay Area reports. The 49ers haven't provided any indication as to which player might start, but Gaskins may have the upper hand because of his time spent in the organization. Draughn and Thomas obviously have more experience, but both players were just recently signed to replace Carlos Hyde (foot) and Mike Davis (hand). Draughn probably has the lowest ceiling of the bunch, as Thomas is the favorite for passing-down work and Gaskins is the favorite to receive goal-line carries.

49ers' Shaun Draughn: Prepares for Week 9 role

Draughn -- who signed with the 49ers on Monday -- indicated that he's preparing as though he'll start Sunday's game against the Falcons, with Carlos Hyde iffy for the contest, the San Jose Mercury News reports. Meanwhile, the report notes that Pierre Thomas -- who joined the team Tuesday -- is also trying to get up to speed with the 49ers' offense. In the event that Hyde is ruled out this week, it's plausible that Draughn's self-described "one cut, get down hill" running style will earn him a share of early down work Sunday, while Thomas sees a fair chunk of work in passing situations.

49ers' Shaun Draughn: Signs with 49ers

The 49ers have signed Draughn, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. With Carlos Hyde, Reggie Bush and Mike Davis all dealing with injuries, the 49ers understandably were looking for backfield depth after Kendall Gaskins ended up as the team's last healthy RB by the end of Sunday's loss to the Rams. While a wait-and-see approach is in order from a fantasy perspective with regard to Draughn, it will be worth monitoring the happenings in the 49ers' banged up backfield in the coming days/weeks to see if the team's injury woes at running back end up unearthing any surprising fantasy gems.

Browns' Shaun Draughn: Set to play Sunday

Draughn (back) is active Sunday against the Broncos. Draughn will suit up to provide Cleveland with backfield depth, but isn't expected to see a significant role in the offense. Even though Isaiah Crowell has been dealing with a toe injury, he'll be active for the contest and should split the bulk of the carries with rookie Duke Johnson. Robert Turbin (ankle) is also making his first appearance for the Browns this season, further clouding the pecking order for carries behind Crowell/Johnson.

Browns RB Shaun Draughn listed as questionable for Week 6

Browns running back Shaun Draughn (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Broncos. Draughn draws the questionable designation despite practicing fully both Thursday and Friday, though at this stage his Week 6 status is of more import to the Browns' backfield depth than it is to fantasy owners.
