Chimdi Chekwa back with Raiders on one-year deal
Cornerback Chimdi Chekwa has agreed to a one-year deal with the Raiders, according to agent Drew Rosenhaus, per NFL.com. Chekwa, who has spent the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Raiders, signed with the Patriots in March. He was released Monday. Chekwa has totaled 51 tackles (44 solo) and no interceptions in 32 career games.

Report: Patriots have cut CB Chimdi Chekwa
Two months after signing cornerback Chimdi Chekwa, the Patriots have released him, per Pro Football Talk. The latest move has been part of an offseason purge at that position. The team has already released Kyle Arrington and Alfonzo Dennard after losing Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner to free agency. Chekwa spent four years with Oakland before landing with New England. He has no career interceptions and has been a bit of a disappointment in the NFL.

Patriots will sign CB Chimdi Chekwa
The Patriots are adding defensive back Chimdi Chekwa to the roster, according to ESPN.com's Mike Reiss. Chekwa will sign a one-year contract. Chekwa was originally taken in the fourth round by Oakland in the 2011 NFL draft out of Ohio State. He's started four games in his career.

Raiders list inactives for Week 17
The Raiders have listed WR Denarius Moore, WR Vincent Brown, CB Chimdi Chekwa, CB T.J. Carrie, G Tony Bergstrom, T Menelik Watson and DT Stacy McGee as inactive Week 17 against the Broncos. Brown, Chekwa and Moore had all been ruled out prior to Sunday. Both Carrie and Watson entered the contest listed as questionable. Carrie is dealing with an ankle injury. Watson has foot and ankle issues. Bergstrom and McGee are healthy scratches.

The Raiders listed seven players on its final injury report for Week 17 against Denver. Wide receiver Vincent Brown (groin), cornerback Chimdi Chekwa (hamstring), and wide receiver Denarius Moore (knee, ankle) were ruled out for for Sunday. Cornerback T.J. Carrie (ankle), linebacker Khalil Mack (hamstring) and tackle Menelik Watson (foot, ankle) were labeled questionable. Meanwhile, defensive back Ras-I Dowling (hamstring) got the green light after being a limited participant all week. He was deemed probable for the final game of the season.
