    Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said top cornerback Richard Sherman might not need Tommy John surgery after all, reports 710 ESPN Radio. "He's not a pitcher," Carroll said. The coach said Sherman "needs to go have that baby first" -- Sherman's girlfriend is expecting -- and then the team will further evaluate Sherman's injury. Sherman tore ligaments in his elbow in the NFC Championship Game and played through it. Even if Sherman undergoes surgery, Carroll said he expects him to be ready for the start of next season.
