    Veterans among Friday cuts by Bears

    The Bears have released several players, including veteran blocking tight end Jeron Mastrud. Mastrud caught six passes last season for Oakland. Also let go by Chicago are running back Jordan Lynch, wideout Armanti Edwards, tackle Dennis Roland and offensive lineman Robert Turner .

    Raiders get offensive contributions

    The Raiders got several minor contributions in their Week 16 loss at San Diego. Taiwan Jones carried twice for 1 yard, wideout Denarius Moore caught three passes for 17 yards and tight end Jeron Mastrud hauled in a 12-yard pass. Receiver Rod Streater could not hang on to a 39-yard touchdown catch -- the play was upheld on review -- and finished with one 2-yard reception on five targets. They'll all play the Broncos in Week 17.

    Banged-up Raiders cleared for Week 16

    Several Raiders who were on the injury report are active at San Diego, including safety Charles Woodson (ribs), linebacker Miles Burris (ankle), tight end Jeron Mastrud (wrist), linebacker Sio Moore (illness), guard Lucas Nix (illness) and defensive tackle Vance Walker (concussion). All were listed as probable except for Burris and Walker, who were questionable.

    Raiders mostly healthy heading into game against Chargers

    The Raiders have eight players on their Friday injury report, but five are probable. The lone exceptions are running back Jeremy Stewart (ankle/knee), who is out Sunday against San Diego, linebacker Miles Burris (ankle) and defensive tackle Vance Walker (concussion) who are questionable. The probables include running back Darren McFadden (knee/ankle), who should return after missing the last three games, tight end Jeron Mastrud (wrist), linebacker Sio Moore (illness), guard Lucas Nix (illness) and free safety Charles Woodson (ribs).

    Raiders get minor contributions in Week 15

    The Raiders received minor contributions from several role players during Sunday's blowout loss to the Chiefs in Week 15.In the running game, fullback Jamize Olawale rushed for two yards on one carry. In the passing game, Taiwan Jones, who converted to cornerback before the start of the season, came down with a short pass from Matt McGloin and took it up the field for a 52-yard gain for his only catch of the day. He also lost a fumble.Chimdi Chekwa also caught one pass for a gain of 22 yards. Jeron Mastrud and Nick Kasa both received a target but finished the game without a grab.

    Raiders get small contributions from role players Week 12

    The Raiders received several contributions from role players during Week 12 against the Titans.Wide receiver Andre Holmes caught two passes for 32 yards while Jacoby Ford was held without a catch despite being targeted once. Fullback Jamize Olawale had two receptions for 27 yards and tight end Jeron Mastrud had one catch for a gain of 5 yards.

    Five Raiders' players hardly factor Week 8

    Raiders tight end Jeron Mastrud, wide receiver Jacoby Ford, wide receiver Brice Butler, tight end Mychal Rivera and wide receiver Andre Holmes all had little or no contributions during a 21-18 win Week 8 vs. Pittsburgh. Mastrud had one catch for 9 yards, Ford had one catch for minus-3 yards, while Butler, Rivera and Holmes had no catches. In fact, two of Butler's three targets were intercepted. Ford also lost a fumble. The Raiders return to action Week 9 vs. Philadelphia.

    Raiders have several minor contributors

    The Oakland Raiders had several offensive players fail to make much of an impact on Sunday's Week 6 road loss at Kansas City. Third-string running back Marcel Reece led those players with one catch for 9 yards. Reece did not get a carry in the game as both Rashad Jennings and Darren McFadden were healthy and available. Reece saw three targets in the passing game. Raiders tight end Jeron Mastrud finished the game with one catch for 13 yards. He saw two targets in the passing game. Wide receiver Brice Butler had one catch for 5 yards in the contest and receiver Andre Holmes did not make a catch on one target. The Raiders have a bye Week 7 and return Week 8 at home against Pittsburgh.

    Jeron Mastrud has one catch in Week 1

    Raiders tight end Jeron Mastrud caught his second career pass in Week 1's 21-17 loss to the Colts. It was a 41-yard reception in the fourth quarter. Mastrud was targeted just once in the game. The Raiders host the Jaguars in Week 2.
