Jaguars DL Roy Miller set for offseason surgery

Jaguars defensive lineman Roy Miller is scheduled to undergo arthroscopic surgery on Wednesday, according to the Florida Times-Union on Monday. Miller hopes that the surgeon is able to repair his torn meniscus instead of removing it. "The doctor is going in there to take a look at everything and hopefully we'll go with the quick route," Miller said. "If they can trim it, I'll be back on my feet the next day. If not, you have to wait for it to stitch together and then you take precautionary steps and that's maybe a couple of months." Miller sat out the final two games of the season before opting for surgery. He signed a four-year, $16.25 million contract extension five days after the injury. His season ends with 30 tackles and one sack.
