With Philly Brown sidelined, Stephen Hill might get a shot

With undrafted rookie wideout Philly Brown (shoulder) unable to practice for the second straight day Wednesday, the Panthers might promote wideout Stephen Hill from their practice squad for Saturday's divisional playoff game at Seattle, reports ESPN.com. Carolina also is looking at third-string quarterback Joe Webb, who has moved back to receiver, the report said. Brenton Bersin continued to work as the No. 3 receiver in Wednesday's practice. However, he lacks the elite speed Brown brings, the report said. Hill made 45 catches for 594 yards and four touchdowns in two seasons with the Jets. Carolina is an 11-point underdog.
