    Mike DeVito agrees to pay cut with Chiefs

    Chiefs defensive end Mike DeVito agreed to a pay cut to help the team with its salary-cap situation. DeVito's original deal cost the Chiefs $5.4 million against the cap. His restructuring reduced that figure to $2.9 million, according to Pro Football Talk and the Kansas City Star. DeVito's new contract is structured so that he has the opportunity to earn back most of his pay cut through incentive bonuses.
