Bears' Sam Acho: Finishes with 39 tackles

Acho finished the 2015 season with 39 tackles over 15 games. After being released by the Bears shortly after training camp, Acho quickly re-signed with the club and ended up playing in every game after the season opener. He made a few starts at outside linebacker down the stretch, but typically found himself in a rotation with Pernell McPhee, Willie Young, and Lamarr Houston. All three players showcased more pass-rushing ability than Acho, who failed to notch a single sack.

    Bears' Sam Acho: Active Sunday

Acho (shoulder) is active for Sunday's game against the Redskins. Acho was a limited participant in practice all week, but the 27-year-old looks like he'll still be in line to start at one of the outside linebacker spots. Coach John Fox has been divvying up the snaps fairly evenly of late between Acho and backup linebackers Lamarr Houston and Willie Young, so expect the trio to all see around the same amount of field time while Pernell McPhee (knee) is sidelined Sunday.

Bears' Sam Acho: Starts Sunday and logs 55 snaps

Acho started Sunday's game against the Vikings and finished with four tackles in 55 snaps, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Meanwhile, last season's holdovers from the Marc Trestman regime, Willie Young and Lamarr Houston, finished with seven and four snaps, respectively at outside linebacker. It appears neither of those players are deemed appropriate fits for defensive coordinator Vic Fangio's 3-4 scheme, so look for Acho to continue to dominate the snaps at the linebacker spot opposite Pernell McPhee.

Cardinals lose three defenders to injury

Making the Cardinals' 31-7 loss Week 3 at New Orleans worse was the fact that they lost three defensive starters to injuries. Linebacker Lorenzo Alexander was the first to go. He left late in the first quarter with a foot injury, going without a stat in the contest. Defensive back Rashad Johnson also left in the first half, having suffered a finger injury. He had three solo tackles before leaving. Linebacker Sam Acho left in the third quarter with an ankle injury. He recorded his first sack of the season earlier that afternoon. The Cardinals visit the Buccaneers in Week 4.
