    The Browns signed offensive lineman Erle Ladson , the team announced on Tuesday. Ladson was a member of Oakland last season. To make room, Cleveland released defensive back Micah Pellerin. The team signed him earlier this offseason after he played for Dallas last year.

    Cornerback Sterling Moore, who has earned some playing time with New England and Dallas, has been cut by the Cowboys. Moore played in five games in both 2011 and 2012. Another significant cut by the team is wide receiver Anthony Armstrong, who has 54 career catches.     Packers make some early cuts

    The Packers announced a number of roster cuts Friday, as they continue to try to trime their roster down to 53 men in time for the start of the season. Among the players let go were defensive lineman Anthony Hargrove, who is suspended for the first eight weeks of the season for his part in the Saints' bounty scandal. The team also released wide receiver Andy Brewer, safety Micah Pellerin, defensive back Dion Turner and tackle Herb Taylor.
