    Texans sign NT Chris Neild

    The Texans signed nose tackle Chris Neild on Sunday, reports the Houston Chronicle. Neild has played four seasons in the NFL and produced two sacks and 16 tackles.

    Redskins complete cut-down Saturday

    The Redskins have sliced their roster down to the league-mandated 53 with several cuts on Saturday. Included among the waived offensive players are running backs Evan Royster, Lache Seastrunk and Chris Thompson. Also gone from that side of the ball are wide receiver Nick Williams and lineman Maurice Hurt . Defenders cut loose are cornerback Chase Minnifield, linebacker Everette Brown and safety Phillip Thomas. Placekicker Zach Hocker has also been waived. The Redskins have also placed defensive tackle Chris Neild and linebacker Darryl Sharpton on the reserve/injured list and defensive end Stephen Bowen and wide receiver Leonard Hankerson on the PUP list.

    Redskins list Week 11 inactives

    The Redskins' list of inactives for Week 11 at Philadelphia includes defensive back Jose Gumbs (ankle), quarterback Rex Grossman, linebacker Brandon Jenkins, offensive lineman Josh LeRibeus, tight end Fred Davis, defensive lineman Chris Neild and wide receiver Josh Morgan. Grossman, Jenkins, LeRibeus, Davis, Neild and Morgan are all healthy scratches.

    Redskins list healthy inactives for Thursday

    The Redskins had several healthy inactive players for the Week 10 game at Minnesota Thursday. Quarterback Rex Grossman, linebacker Brandon Jenkins, offensive lineman Josh LeRibeus, tight end Fred Davis and nost tackle Chris Neild were all healthy scratches for Washington.

    Chris Neild, Chris Thompson go from probable to inactive

    The Redskins had two probable players ruled inactive for the Week 9 game at home against San Diego. Defensive tackle Chris Neild (calf) and running back Chris Thompson (shoulder) were both inactive despite dealing with minor injuries during the practice week.

    Washington has six probable players Week 9

    Washington DE Stephen Bowen, S Reed Doughty, WR Leonard Hankerson, DT Chris Neild, TE Logan Paulsen and RB Chris Thompson are probable Week 9 against the Chargers. All six players were able to fully participate in practice every day this week. They should all be able to play Sunday.

    Redskins defense dealing with injuries

    The Redskins have some injury concerns on the defensive side of the ball for Week 8 against the Broncos, as three players are listed on Friday's official injury report as questionable. Defensive lineman Stephen Bowen (knee) is joined by defensive backs Reed Doughty (concussion) and Chris Neild (calf), all of whom were limited throughout the week in practice. Doughty could play in Sunday's game, but he has to pass a concussion test Saturday before being cleared, as head coach Mike Shanahan told reporters.

    Redskins sit down some defenders

    Redskins linebacker Brandon Jenkins, defensive lineman Chris Neild and defensive back Jerome Murphy were all probable on the injury report with various ailments for Sunday's Week 7 home game against Chicago. Of course, with the Redskins dealing with few injuries overall, both Jenkins and Neild were inactive for the game anyway. Murphy did manage to receive an active nod for the game. Jenkins and Murphy each were dealing with ankle injuries and Neild had a calf problem.

    Washington lists five players probable for Week 7

    Washington LB Brandon Jenkins, OL Will Montgomery, CB Jerome Murphy, DT Chris Neild and TE Logan Paulsen are listed as probable against the Bears. Neild was limited in practice Wednesday, but was able to participate in full Thursday and Friday. None of the other players were limited throughout the week.
