Vincent Brown: Scheduled for workout in St. Louis

Brown is scheduled to work out for the Rams this week, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports. Brown, a third round-pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, has just 72 catches in 37 career games. Even on a team without much talent at his position, he'd likely just be fourth or fifth on the depth chart.

Colts seeking third and fourth receivers behind two standouts

The Colts certainly can't be viewed as short-handed at wide receiver. No team lining up T.Y. Hilton and Andre Johnson can be thought of negatively in that department. But the team could struggle with depth at wideout if one or two others don't step up, per ESPN. Plenty of candidates pepper the roster, including Donte Moncrief, Phillip Dorsett, Duron Carter and Vincent Brown. The most accomplished is Moncrief, who racked up 444 yards as a rookie a year ago. But Dorsett has an advantage as a 2015 first-rounder. Carter has two years of experience in the Canadian Football League while Brown has 72 receptions for 919 yards during his NFL career. It remains to be seen how it all shakes out, but the presence of premier quarterback Andrew Luck could prove to make one and all better.

Raiders backup pass catchers do little Week 14

The Raiders backup pass catchers didn't do much Week 14 against the 49ers. Andre Holmes picked up two receptions for 38 yards. He finished third in receiving yards during the contest. Vincent Brown caught one pass, gaining 20 yards. James Jones managed two receptions. He finished with 11 yards. Offensive tackle Donald Penn was the big star, however. He hauled in a 3 yard touchdown from Derek Carr in the second quarter. It was Penn's only catch of the game. The group will look for more Week 15 against the Chiefs.

Raiders' passing game yields little Week 13

The Raiders threw for 183 yards with three interceptions in their 52-0 loss at St. Louis, so there wasn't a lot of production to go around. Wideout Andre Holmes caught three of six targets for 28 yards, and wideout Kenbrell Thompkins hauled in two of five targets for 28 yards. Receiver Brice Butler secured both his targets for 27 yards. Tight end Mychal Rivera caught three of eight targets for 21 yards, and wideout Vincent Brown had a 10-yard grab. They'll all play the 49ers in Week 14.
