Bills' Marcus Easley: Long recovery ahead

Easley, who suffered a dislocated knee cap that was also broken in three places, has begun his offseason rehab, BuffaloBills.com reports. "Seven to nine months," Easley said. "They say I should make a full recovery." Easley is the type of guy that will work as hard as possible to keep that window on the short side, but no matter what it starts to push him up against training camp or even the regular season. It'll be interesting to see what the Bills do with him, as Easley takes up a roster spot normally given to a player with better offensive skills, but at the same time he's one of the league's top special teams players when healthy. And yes, he's that good playing the gunner role, among other things.

Bills' Marcus Easley: Headed for injured reserve

Easley broke his knee in three places and suffered a dislocated knee cap during Sunday's win over the Cowboys, ESPN.com reports. Easley will be placed on injured reserve and may have a hard time being ready by the start of training camp next season. Head coach Rex Ryan did say that the injury isn't expected to be career-ending, and Easley is signed through 2018 on a contract that guarantees a significant portion of the money. He's primarily valued for his contributions on special teams.

Bills' Marcus Easley: Hopeful for Texans game

Coach Rex Ryan feels Easley will complete the concussion protocol and be back on the field for Sunday's game against Houston, BuffaloBills.com reports. All it takes is one little setback with this sensible injury, but after Easley missed Sunday's game in Kansas City and hearing Ryan's hopefulness regarding the situation, it sounds like the injury-depleted Bills are ready to welcome their special teams ace back.

Bills' Marcus Easley: Ruled out this week

Easley (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, wgr550.com reports. With just one catch this season, Easley isn't a key cog in the Bills' offense, but his absence this week does represent a hit the Buffalo's special teams corps.

Bills' Marcus Easley: Does not practice Wednesday

Easley (concussion) did not practice Wednesday. Easley suffered a concussion during Monday's loss to the Patriots, and it remains to be seen whether the special-teams ace will be able to play this week against the Chiefs. He's made just one catch all season for the Bills, so his absence likely won't hurt fantasy owners too much, but it's likely his game-time status will be decided closer to the end of the week.

Bills WR Marcus Easley tallies on lone target Sunday

Bills wide receiver Marcus Easley certainly made the most of the only throw in his direction Sunday. He took it 58 yards to the house against the Jaguars in London. Easley isn't likely to become a fixture in the passing game despite his Week 7 heroics.

Bills' Marcus Easley: Listed as active

Easley (shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game in London. Easley provides the Bills with needed Week 7 wideout depth, with both Sammy Watkins and Percy Harvin out. That said, he's behind Robert Woods and Chris Hogan in the team's WR pecking order, so he's not a high-percentage fantasy play.

Bills' Marcus Easley: Questionable for Sunday

Easley (shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game, NFL.com's Marc Sessler reports. Sessler goes on to say that coach Rex Ryan expects him to be able to play -- a good sign considering the Bills are already out their top two wideouts with Sammy Watkins (ankle) and Percy Harvin (not injury related) unavailable against the Jaguars. If Easley is able to play, he will likely slot in behind Robert Woods and Chris Hogan on the depth chart, but it remains to be seen how many targets he might receive with regular QB Tyrod Taylor also missing Sunday's game with a knee injury.

    Bills announce Marcus Easley re-signing

The Bills made it official and announced that they have signed wide receiver and special teams ace Marcus Easley to a multi-year deal. Easley is a reserve receiver but is a standout gunner on the Bills' coverage units. He led the NFL in special teams tackles in 2013 but was unable to repeat that mark in 2014 as a knee injury held him out of six games.
